Just when it seems that Tyra Banks might be on the roll to be the next Oprah she throws in the towel! Banks has just come out saying that after this season ends, which will be in the spring of 2010, she will no longer do the show. Why? She wants to pursue film…with her studio called “Bankable Studios”…. We see movies with models in Victoria Secrets.. hmm, that could be a hit with the men demo graphics… haha.
According to Yahoonews:
” This will be the last season of ‘The Tyra Show,’” she wrote on her Web site. “I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms [and] hair salons for the past 5 years.”
And Tyra was quick to claim she isn’t ending her show due to the ratings.”
Tyra goes on to say:
“This year I’ll be unveiling some HUGE surprises from me and my company Bankable – new out-of-the-box projects,” Tyra wrote. “And I’m incredibly excited to announce that I’ll be launching Bankable Studios soon, which means my company will be making MOVIES!!! And what I love about creating new projects is that it also creates new jobs for talented people, in front of and behind the camera.”
As we said…. wanna-be models in Victoria Secrets… could work!! But don’t worry “America’s Next Top Model” fans, that is her baby and she will still be doing the show….but let’s see how many of them get into her movies… the winners have done so well (*cough* cough*)!
